The Passport Services Office provides information and services to American citizens about how to obtain, replace or change a passport.
A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries. Only the U.S. Department of State has the authority to grant, issue or verify United States passports.
New Application for a U.S. Passport
To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of over 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license.

The term ‘adventure holidays’ actually encompasses a lot of traveling options, not just taking an African safari. There are a number of kinds of adventure outdoor vacations that are available in today’s holiday market. The scope of the adventures that are available are as different as how average people would define the word adventure.
For some, an adventure holiday involves camping in a new location and seeing a new region or country. Others think there needs to be some water involvement, maybe kayaking of white water rapids for it to be a real adventure. The reality is these are both adventure vacations as would be going on a hot air balloon trip or even hiking a mountain. What a real adventure outdoor vacation is all depends on what is an adventure in your mind.
Many people believe the idea of adventure is really experiencing some place when you visit. That means not just going on the guided tours or snapping a couple of pictures, but going to a location and making yourself a part of the environment to really feel what it is like to be there. While you can choose to go to foreign countries to do this, you can also have this kind of adventure experience in locations close to your home, by really visiting a place while you are there and not just playing tourist. Adventure vacations in this case are much more than going sight seeing. Adventure vacations are becoming a part of the place you are visiting, to better understand it.
While you may think that adventure travel is only for those who are young and in perfect shape, the truth is anything but. Adventure travel has become a very popular activity for all age groups. There are even senior specific adventure travel groups where older couples take off together to try things they never have had the time for or been able to do before in their lives.

Vacationing the Right Way in the Safari for Fun

There are some important things to think about when you are planning a safari adventure.
There are going to be challenges to deal with. You need to plan the best trip ever and make it happen for you. You want to take notice of your flyer guide and do your own research on this great place. Know where the hottest spots to visit are. You want to see the best part of Africa and learn about the East and the most Central part of Africa. There are also great new things to see in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. Know what the climate is going to be. You want to dress for the climate and know what to expect. If you are going to see East and Central Africa, you should learn that the rain is going to start in April to the early part of June. The shorter rains are going to start in the later part of November to December.
The Southern part of Africa has a rainy season from the late November through the middle part of April for the areas of Safari. It is during this time it will be summer in the Southern Cape.
If you are going to prefer the Indian and Ocean Islands, you will want to think about the seasonal time to be just like the Southern part of Africa. Among these islands the rain in the summer is going to go from November to April and there will be cyclones during the season of May to October and this is when the dryness s tarts.
Know about the activities.
There will be a lot to do and one of them is safari traveling.
You will also be able to choose from the following: gorilla trekking, sailing, bird watching, and camping.
You need to understand what your budget is. You need to choose your trip and know your budget. You need to know your price range so that you can make the most of your travel plans. You want to know your activities and choose your meals for the best trip ever.
Know what your travel style is. Do you want to have a more luxurious or rustic time? Are you taking kids with you or are you going with a group? Are you traveling by air or by road? You need to have a good guide and have a vehicle or method of transportation all planned out.
Getting these questions answered is going to be a good way to improve your dreams of a great safari travel experience and to get the most of your next adventure. Make sure you have a great time no matter what!
Boat Charter Top Tips

If you have chartered a “bareboat” it means you do not have anyone to sail it for you. If you don’t have the minimum qualification yourself you will need to hire a skipper and ever crew. Check with you charter company who may be able to organise some salty sea dogs for you.
Fuel is not normally included in the price of a charter. It will be charged to you as an extra at the end of the trip. Something to think about as boat love to guzzle back the diesel.
Take plenty of sun lotion the power of the sun is deceiving at sea and it’s effects are not always noticed until you are back on dry land. The other side to that coin is that you can tan three times the speed at sea.

Cruise vacations are a fantastic way to spend time off and relax. They are fun, allow you to meet new people, see new areas, and get in the sun. If you are planning to go on one of these vacations it is necessary to take the precaution and properly prepare for your trip. Some things you can wait and do just before you need to leave, others need to be handled a good amount of time in advance.
A person that can help you insure that you have the trip of your dreams is a travel agent. They can help you make all of your arrangements, the bookings, and other details that can allow you to have the trip you planned, putting everything to your liking. Your travel agent could even help you with discounts, depending on the trip you wish to take, and help you to find the cheapest way to go about your trip. It may cost some money to enable you to employ one of these agents but you are sure to find it well worth in at the end of your trip.
A big concern with taking cruises is money. When on a cruise that leads you away from your native sea borders you will need to be sure you have the required currency that will enable you to make purchases. When on a cruise they are likely to stop at least two or three times and make port. This will allow you to explore your new surroundings and but souvenirs. Most places that are frequented by tourists will allow you to pay with American money, but in some cases you may need to pay with the currency of the nation you are located.
One of the most important things to bring along with you on your trip is your passport. Your passport is your proof of your nationality, and that you are allowed to leave and return from your home country. With out your passport if you are separated from the cruise you may find yourself unable to return home. Some of the time you need a passport in order to board the ship.
Some people do not realize that passports can be required on cruises. Be sure to ask your travel agent whether or not you will need yours and how to attain one if you do not possess one already.
Your luggage can become a big factor in the convenience of your trip. Over packing can make maneuvering around the ship difficult and waste the space you have in your room. Packing properly will determine how easily these processes will be. Be sure to conserve space and leave any unnecessary items at home.
Some cruises set a limit on the amount of luggage a person can bring on board the ship. If your luggage exceeds this limit you will be forced to leave some of it behind. Be sure not to waste space in these cases and be conservative.
Certain items are barred from being brought on board of the cruise ships. Guns, large blades, and other dangerous weapons are not a good idea to bring along. Make sure to check your cruise ships list of banned items before packing. If you do not you may end up watching the ship cruise off leaving you on the dock.
